How does the device authentication function work?

In order for the device authentication function to work, it is necessary to install the ibisAccount native application and web browser extension beforehand. When a user tries to log in to ibisAccount or a linked service, a device use request dialog is displayed for the first time, and the request is sent to the administrator when the submit button is pressed.

On the administrator's screen, the device's host name, device name, OS name, CPU name, RAM size, storage size, etc. can be verified. The administrator approves the use of the device based on this information.

After that, user login authentication is performed by sending device-specific information from the browser to the server, which authenticates the user with the device information in addition to ID and password. Besides, encrypted communication is used between the browser and native application, and between the browser and server to ensure security.
